VINEYARD CREDENTIALS
In terms of notoriety and the number of producers who use its name, Monvigliero can properly be considered the true "grand cru" of Verduno, and the finest example of the elegan-ce which is the principal trait of the Barolo of this township.
The light-colored and loose-tex-tured soils, which in dry vintages can also create a certain vine stress, if, on the one hand, reduce the intensity of color, on the other hand give a arger and ampler range of aromas with a particular presence of spicy and floral notes) and with that, an elegance accompanied at times by a certain austerity.
